Atlanta Journal Constitution: Police: Pizza delivery man shoots would-be robber

An Atlanta pizza delivery guy overpowered and shot a would-be armed robber, police said.

Police say the Northside Drive Papa John's employee, Javares Scott, was attacked Monday around 11:45 p.m. while delivering pizza to a home in the 100 block of Holly Street in northwest Atlanta.

When Scott arrived at the location, he said a man tried to rob him at gunpoint, but he managed to pry the gun away from the attacker and shoot the robber in the process, police spokeswoman Kim Jones said...
