49ers' Aldon Smith Stabbed At Santa Clara House Party

San Francisco 49ers pass rusher Aldon Smith was stabbed at a house party in Santa Clara early Saturday, Matt Barrows reports. The team confirmed the stabbing the same evening. He's believed to be all right despite the incident.
"We are aware that Aldon Smith incurred minor injuries during an incident last night," the team said in its statement, as shared by Barrows. "We are in contact with Aldon and thankful that his injuries were not more serious and that he is recovering comfortably. The 49ers are also in communication with local authorities as they gather information regarding the incident, and will reserve further comment at this time."
As a first-round pick out of Mizzou, Smith piled up 14 sacks and two forced fumbles in his rookie season, earning a handful of Defensive Rookie of the Year honors.
