| GOOD AFTERNOON TO EVERYONE! | Last night was the quintessential example of why Americans can't stand Washington. For the past four years, this Democratic administration has refused to address the tough issues, whether it is entitlement spending or reaffirming our commitments to our allies abroad. Instead, they have pushed the blame off on the Bush administration. And that's all Vice President Joe Biden did last night, aside from coming across as a bully that is unbecoming of the executive branch of the United States government. The tactics were simple: Since the Obama campaign has no record to run on, they send out the 'lovable' elder statesmen Biden to scoff, interrupt and dismiss the younger Paul Ryan. And in the campaign's eyes (and hardcore Democrats), it worked. But, Ryan didn't take the bait and he remained calm, cool and collected. And as a result, independent voters and folks on the fence found Ryan more compassionate, forthright and competent. For anyone to say that the way Joe Biden conducted himself was acceptable, is either a partisan Democratic spin machine or is from Mars. Republicans did what they had to do, and this morning, they are in the driver's seat. Polls are shifting in their favor, especially in Florida, where Paul Ryan, thanks in part to his mother, is putting out a clear, cogent Medicare strategy that is resonating with seniors in the Sunshine State.
And with that, our wall-to-wall analysis is below.
Have a great weekend,
